1). What is the St. Augustine Community Chorus?
We are a non profit organization and depend on the good will of audiences and
donors for support in our musical endeavors. Our mixed chorus is comprised
of amateur singers from the area who love
good music and enjoy sharing it with audiences. 2) What are the requirements for joining the St.
Augustine Community Chorus?
There are no audition requirements. There
are membership dues of $25.00 per concert to help defray costs. If you like choral singing you
are most welcome to join us. We encourage new members in all voice parts,
and are especially interested in singers for both tenor and bass sections.
3) How do I join?
We welcome new singers throughout the year!
No auditions
are required, but regular attendance is expected. Come to the first scheduled
rehearsal, at which time you will be asked to sign in, pay dues, and receive
music. New members are allowed to join during the first two
rehearsals associated with each of the three yearly concerts.
Rehearsals are on Tuesdays from 7-9 pm at the Baker Center, 259 St. George
Street, in downtown St. Augustine, for the Christmas and Pops Concerts: Masterworks Concert rehearsals are usually held at the Ancient City Baptist church.
Please check the "Members" page of this website for the detailed rehearsal schedule of
each of our concerts during the season.
4) What if I have further questions?
Please use "Contact SACC" for any other questions you might
have.
