St Augustine Lighthouse – Luminary Night December 1
A few SACC members will sing carols at the annual Luminary Event on December 1, 2020. This year’s version will be a drive-through experience from 7 to 9 pm. Drive by and hear us sing, enjoy the lights, and see Santa!
Holiday Caroling 2020
Regrettably, Covid intervened in our well laid plans for our “Masterworks” concert last May, and what would have been our much lauded Christmas concert at the Cathedral Basilica this December. In the face of this seemingly insurmountable pandemic that blindsided all non-profit arts organizations in town, we have persevered by rehearsing a program of Christmas Carols to be presented on the steps of Grace Church. Please come, listen, and sing along with us at 6:30pm on the evenings of Friday, December 4th, 11th, and 18th.
This Christmastide
The St. Augustine Community Chorus invites you to join us this holiday season as we celebrate the start of our 71st season. Our Director, Mike Sanflippo, has prepared a wonderful program entitled “This Christmastide” which will include John Rutter’s Magnificat, Morten Lauridsen’s O Magnum Mysterium, selections from Handel’s Messiah and traditional carols. The chorus will be joined by The St. Augustine Youth Chorus and accompanied with brass, percussion, strings, and organ. Get your tickets early, our holiday concerts sell out to capacity quickly, for this special Christmas performance taking place Saturday, December 14th at 7:30 PM and Sunday, December 15th at 2:00 PM at the Cathedral Basilica. We now have Season Tickets available which include reserved seating for each concert!
SACC holds 70th Season Finale
The St. Augustine Community Chorus concluded its 70th Season during the Romanza Festival in St. Augustine, performing the masterpiece Carmina Burana, by composer Carl Orff. The dramatic, bold cantata included the singing power of the Bel Canto Singers of Daytona, soloists Anna Eschbach and Sean Stork, and the St. Augustine Youth Chorus. This has been a tremendous season highlighting the talents of our 120 chorus members, celebrating the anniversary with a Gala party, and performing an original piece of commissioned music in December. We look forward to our 71st Season beginning in the fourth quarter of 2019 and welcoming you back!
SACC Receives Proclamation of Appreciation
We were very pleased to formally receive a Proclamation from the city of St. Augustine earlier this evening acknowledging our 70th Anniversary! Please join us for our last concert of this terrific season on May 11!

Plan to spend more time DANCING than sitting at the March 2019 spring Gala celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the St. Augustine Community Chorus! We’re delighted to have the Chris Thomas Band to entertain you!
We invite you to join us Friday, March 8, 2019, for our 70th anniversary dinner dance GALA to be held at the Riverview Club in St. Augustine in collaboration with the St. Augustine Orchestra. There will be a silent auction, hors d’oeuvres, buffet dinner and music for your listening and dancing pleasure by the St. Augustine Orchestra string ensemble and the Chris Thomas Band!

Gala Planning Underway
Members of the St. Augustine Community Chorus and the St. Augustine Orchestra went to check out Riverview Club recently to look at the space for our Bursting with Blooms Gala taking place March 8, 2019. This significant event will celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the Chorus!
