December Happenings!

Dec 6 - SACC and SAYC members participated in the St. Augustine Christmas parade, spreading holiday cheer, candy, and concert flyers along the parade route! Heartfelt thanks to Michael Ramsey-Smith for engineering our “Christmas wagon, resplendent with a beautifully decorated tree and wrapped presents” and for all the parade walkers and other volunteers who made it possible to continue this fun tradition!

Dec 13 - We filled Presbyterian Lutheran Church once again with the glorious sounds of Handel's Messiah on Saturday, marking our third annual Messiah Sing-In! It was a truly magnificent afternoon filled with great music-making, festive cheer, and an incredible reception afterwards.

Dec 20 & 21 - We have a magnificent Christmas concert coming up at the Cathedral Basilica this weekend! Rejoice! launches our year-long 250th celebration of the United States we are calling “An American Tapestry: Voices of St. Augustine.” This program focuses on a few American composers who have created new settings of traditional carols, traditional texts, and some newer texts like the one from Maya Angelou, Peace My Soul.
