Welcome to the Saint Augustine Community Chorus Home page

It is sixty-five years since the Community Chorus had its first concert in Trinity Episcopal Church under the leadership of William Dixon.  We continue the tradition this season with our first concert at the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Augustine under the direction of Dr. Ted Mathews, titled “Christmas Reflections.”   Musical Selections from the Messiah and other seasonal music will be performed.  Members of the Chorus will be joined by the Saint Augustine Children’s Chorus under the direction of Ms. Kerry Fradley.  The dates are December 15 and 16.

Our annual Pops concert titled, “On Broadway II” will be under the direction of Ms. Kathleen Vande Berg and performed at Saint Augustine High School. This concert will bring you some of the great music of Broadway shows and very likely music you knew and sang not so long ago.  Come and join us.  The dates are: March 9 and 10, 2013.

The classics concert being performed in May is entitled “Two Titans of Classicism” and will feature Mozart’s Requiem and Te Deum by Joseph Hayden. The date for this concert at Ancient City Baptist Church is May 19, 2013, and is under the direction of Dr. Ted Mathews.

We welcome new singers to join us singing this wonderful music.  If you are interested, please consult our web site for information about joining us and the time of rehearsals.

Please consult our web site for exact times of performances and information on obtaining tickets.

     Thank you.
